Quietly reading La Presse and sipping a coffee.
I stumble upon something so beautiful and so touching that i cannot resist sharing.
This photo is not just full of beauty, it is full of meaning.
A man a certain age pick up dead leaves and throws them in the air…
What is he doing?
Creating beauty,
Creating joy.
Look at his expression,
Look at his eyes,
Look at his hands,
Look at the leaves.
Yesterday, another of my patient died of septic shock.
I look in the eyes of the dying almost every day.
What i see inside,
Just falling leaves…
What saves me, what keeps me going,
Is a profound conviction,
That i can put in words
When i see this photo,
When i see those falling leaves,
Death is just life transformed.
