In these times of changes, when our society is forced to evolve, when our usual habits are replaced by news ways, problems inevitably arise and we must remind ourselves that, although we don’t fully control our environment, we always can choose our reaction and attitude.
I suggest this simple antidote to the inevitable frustrations of life during the pandemic:
Be courteous and say thank you more often.
When you meet a nurse or doctor, say « Thank you for being here working over time »
When you meet a teacher, say « Thank you for working so hard to educate my child with these new technologies ».
When you meet a policeman or police woman, say « Thank you for keeping us safe ».
When you meet a janitor, say « Thank you for keeping this place clean ».
I obviously could keep going on and on forever giving examples but at this point, you get the idea so i’ll generalize.
When you meet anyone who, day in and day out, shows up to work to keep society moving forward, please say « Thank you for your work »
Be grateful and supportive to all around you. This is how we end brooding.
Thank you for sharing this antidote with your friends.
