I am home alone. I enjoy this precious time with myself. I have time to work, to rest, to move and to think. Solitude is interesting.
On this sunny afternoon, I took my road bike and I went hunting for ideas, images and inspiration.
I found what I was looking for.
The Moore Farm’s stable was built in 1910. It’s a century old and still standing. These buildings whistood the passage of time and survived two world wars, the spanish flu pandemic, the great depression, the Vietnam war, the ozone hole, the birth of Facebook, instagram, Tik Tok and the election of Trump.
When I look at the stables, I imagine what stories they could tell..
Our humanity has survived so much to allow us to be here, we will survive and even thrive in the face of adversity.
This is the first pandemic I face with my son, my family and my friends.
When I look at this old wheel from last century, I am hopeful for our future.
In one hundred years, my grandson will stand here and smile.
