Once in a while, I invite people who make my work possible to share a meal and discuss issues that come up in our work.
The pandemic forced us to take a two-year break from this habit and I am happy that we are starting to resume what is looking like to a new normality.
This morning, I was present at Oddo’s bakery opening to buy freshly baked bread and pastries. I prepared plates of fruits and I brewed a pot of coffee. The relevant question one must ask is: Why am I doing this?
I think one of the present and future challenges for our healthcare network is to put the employees at the center of our concerns and let the employees put the patient at the center of their care.
When employees feel cared for, they will naturally care for the people they work for, our clients.
If we ask our employees to give us the best of themselves, we need to give them the best of us.
