On raising a kid with 5 phrases, 19 words, 80 characters

I have recently decided to follow the shortest recipe to raise my teenager.

Why do complicated when I can do simple?

From now on, I will devote all efforts to inspire my son to use, and to help him understand the power of 5 simple phrases:

  1. Thank you!
  2. I am sorry I …
  3. I love you.
  4. Can I help you?
  5. No, I just can’t do that.

These words represent  5 core values of our humanity:

  1. Gratitude
  2. Humility and taking responsibility
  3. Love
  4. Generosity and collaboration
  5. Self-respect.

In 5 years, I’ll be able to say if the recipe works… for now, it’s just a hunch I am following.

Thank you.
