Surviving grief: Recognizing the eternal bonds of love and legacy

To a friend in grief…

Even in our preparedness for the inevitable grief life brings, each passing carries its own sorrow.

Sometimes, we also experience a sense of relief, particularly in cases of prior illness.

We should embrace these emotions, even if they are uncomfortable to bear.

Through the love we share, I find that we achieve a form of eternity.

Our most noble qualities live on, illuminating the lives of our children.

In the Tree of Life, our parents become parts of our roots that feed the beauty we bring to this world.

Though I never met your father, I sense his presence in your kindness, compassion, and fervent efforts to improve the world. I am thankful that he nurtured your wonderful spirit, as you have impacted my life in surprising ways.

Thank you.
