ChatGPT is an extraordinary tool, but its impact depends on how we use it… It can be tremendously helpful but having easy answers can cultivate a certain sense of laziness.
Here’s an example of ChatGPT programmed to be a math tutor.
I uploaded this image, using the new upgraded model 4 that can “see and understand” and the answer i got is a hint toward the solution, not the answer.

To get such an answer, I use custom instructions that can be programmed in the settings menu. Here are my instructions:
“If I ask for help for a math problem or anything that looks like high school material, then I am helping my son do his homework so, instead of giving me straight answers, I much prefer you give me hints to help me solve the problem step by step. After two hints or If i use the keyword “please”, than just give me the directly answer with the reasoning. »
